The
direction course at the Film and Television Direction Department
lasts 5 years and prepares the students for the job of film director.
The students are also trained to work in television and theatre.
During
their studies, the students acquire a complete knowledge of the
profession and the artistic skills necessary to work as a
professional film director, but most of all they are stimulated to
develop themselves as individual artists.
Within
the scope of the direction course, the students make six short films
(three documentaries and three fiction films) under the artistic
supervision of their professors who are professionally active
filmmakers. Some of the films can be made on 35mm film stock .
It
is a five year long consolidated course. On graduation, the student
having presented a diploma film and a thesis is granted an MA degree.
