It was a beautiful time we shared with people dear to us as Christmas is a special time of the year when everything fits together perfectly, like in the best film.
- "Dear Film School Community, I welcome you and I am glad that we can meet for our traditional annual Pre-Christmas gathering to spend some time together, exchange best wishes, enter the holiday season in good spirits, and look forward to the New Year with optimism. (...) The end of the year is a natural reflection on summing up. Last year was a good year for the School, full of great films, interesting meetings, engaging classes, and workshops. (...) The Film School is not just walls, it is not just an institution - it is a community, a sense of shared spirit. This is a message for all of us; even though we physically leave the School, we remain a part of it forever," said Milenia Fiedler, Rector of the Lodz Film School.
There was a special GUEST.
The guest of honour at the Christmas time gathering was cinematographer Adam Holender, who visited the Lodz Film School on 19th, December.
It was a festive TIME, and a time for PEOPLE.
The entire School community, students, doctoral students, lecturers, and staff, gathered to wish each other the best; warmth, health, and success because dreams come true at CHRISTMAS time.
There was a festive SOUND.
Second-year students of the Acting Department sang Christmas carols. Under the supervision of Agnieszka Greinert and Adam Rymarz, they prepared a repertoire of their own sensational – arrangement for an encore!
It was a festive PICTURE.
Glittering Christmas trees and the brightest star decorated the TV studio, giving it a truly cinematic glow. The studio was prepared by staff from the Lodz Film School, and commemorative photos were taken by Benedykt Rogala, a photography student.
There was a festive REFRESHMENT.
A truly Christmasy feast was provided by our Catering Department, which welcomed everyone, without exception, with hot, sweet, and tasty dishes.
Now, let's give the gift of TIME to the PEOPLE closest to us.
Let's listen to SOUNDS that soothe the soul. Let's gaze upon IMAGES we want to treasure forever. Let's share REFRESHMENT that tastes this good only once a year.
Now, we are looking forward to Christmas Eve and Christmas which are still are ahead of us.
