The exhibition entitled "Accompanying Person" explores the need for tenderness, understanding, and attention to ourselves and others. It's a collection of my own stories and those gathered through interviews with loved ones and strangers. These stories have built me up and allowed me to understand myself better, though not all of them are directly connected with me.

The exhibition's curators, Anna Kazimierczak and Dawid Kawalec, spoke about it:

"The works and interviews which comprise Zuzanna Szor's oil painting exhibition, ACCOMPANYING PERSON, were created over a five-year period from 2020-2025. The exhibition consists of two parts: the first concerns people whose life narratives have influenced the artist's identity. The artist accompanies the subjects of her paintings, giving them interest and non-judgmental attention. The second part of the exhibition is intimate, introspective - the viewer becomes a companion to the artist in her process of self-discovery, gaining power and freedom."


Zuzanna Szor (1999) is a painter and animated filmmaker. Her work explores family and romantic relationships, physicality and the connection with one's own body. She works with oral history, generational memory, and activism. She studies animated film and special effects at the Lodz Film School.
