At the Iluzjon cinema in Warsaw, three-person teams presented their projects which were created during the second edition of the development programme co-created by the Lodz Film School and Netflix.
"In February 2024, the five teams selected through pitching for the second season of the programme got to work, experienced both ups and downs. We saw excitement and we saw breakdowns. Projects crashed against the wall and then came back together again. Throughout it all, we had invaluable help from experts provided by Netflix: Katrin Merkel (Serial Eyes, DFFB), Sue Ahern (BBC), Naomi Levari (Black Sheep Film Productions) and Linda Green (Leading Creative Talent, BBC, SKY). Today, after nine months of work, we are ready to present the results of our small serial laboratory to you".
The creative teams were formed by our students of screenwriting, directing and production, and during the finale, they presented their series projects:
* DINTOJRA, gangster drama created by the team: Piotr Hadyna (screenwriter), Tymoteusz Kałużewski (director), Filip Mańka (creative producer);
* ŁYPIĄ OCZY Z WODY, crime comedy created by the team: Tomasz Koc (screenwriter), Ewa Japola (director), Nadia Przytuła (creative producer);
* ABDYKACJA, costume coming of age created by the team: Karolina Bogus (screenwriter), Artem Rachkelyuk (director), Karolina Zimoch (creative producer);
* BĘDZIESZ TEGO POTRZEBOWAĆ, psychological comedy drama created by the team: Agata Burdajewicz (screenwriter), Agnieszka Kalińska (director), Zuzanna Siwiec (creative producer);
* PLASTIC GOLD, czarny komediodramat, autorzy: Jan Bąk (scenarzysta), Franciszek Berbeka (reżyser), Michalina Pruska (producentka kreatywna).
Our lecturers who were involved in the programme are: Kacper Wysocki, Bartosz Staszczyszyn, Arkadiusz Antosz, Anna Pachnicka, Leszek Dawid, Andrzej Mellin, Marcin Malatyński, as well as the following representatives of the Netflix platform: Kaśka Śliwińska-Kłosowicz, Tomasz Dąbrowski and Ben Harris.
The partnership between the Lodz Film School and Netflix supports the artistic and professional development of the most talented students to provide them with the best possible start in their professional careers, as well as to give a voice to the new generation of Polish filmmakers and learn about their ideas which have a chance of being implemented.
