In the FILMS FROM GDYNIA section, there is a documentary by our graduate, Sławek Podwojski. We have a strong representation among the filmmakers. They will take you to Gdynia and Tanzania.

Michał has a dream, he wants to make a living by designing and making colourful African clothes. A few years earlier, he had fallen in love with Tanzania and wanted to bring as much of its colour as possible to Poland. An accidentally found fabric with a pattern resembling the coat of arms of his native Gdynia initiated the creation of the first clothes. Today, Michał has a chance to make an entire collection for his own brand, but first, he needs to confront what he fell in love with in the first place - the Tanzanian "Pole, Pole" (meaning “slowly”)

The film was shot in Tanzania (Mwanza, Buturu) and Poland (Gdynia).

The date of the film screening at the Gdynia Festival:
22, September, Friday, at 12:30, Kino Helios

After the screening, there will be a meeting with the filmmakers.
