Klara Kochańska is about to collect a "Student Oscar" for her diploma film. Gold, Silver or Bronze? - It doesn’t matter. And the Oscar itself?

On 22 September, Klara Kochańska, a final year direction student at the Lodz Film School, will be in LA, Today, still in Targowa Street in Lodz, she’s talking about her film “Tenants” which was awarded by the famous American Film Academy.

“OSCAR” – seems to be a magic word that opens many doors... - Since the announcement of the American Academy Student Awards I’ve experienced a great media interest in the film and myself. Not that it bothers me in any way, or is bad. Thank to the award I can speak and people listen to me. I don’t indulge in self-promotion, though, I promote my next films. It’s a special time for me and I want to use it well.

December, 2014 was the time when you worked on the shoot of the film "Tenants" whose screenplay was written by you and Kasper Bajon, with Zuza Kernbach behind the camera. Did it cross your mind then that the film may have such an interesting path ahead?
- I wasn’t aware "student Oscar" existed at all. If you are working on a student film you don’t think about festivals or prizes. You totally focus  on the film you’re making.
