Cracow Film Festival which has just started is screening films by our students and graduates!

The film, "Jak gdyby nic" by Grzegorz Jaroszuk, Lodz Film School direction graduate and "Object”, a Sundance Festival prize-winning film by Paulina Skibińska will be screened in the international short film competition section. In the Polish Competition section, in addition to the films, "Jak gdyby nic" & "Object", festival viewers will be able to see Agnieszka Borowa’s diploma film, "Dom", a documentary "Mów do mnie" by Marta Prus – a prize winner at the 13th "Łodzią po Wiśle" Festival, an animation "Dokument" by Marcin Podolec, Best animation prize winner at that festival and "Thumbs up" by Stefan Łazarski. Filip Gieldon’s film "Egzamin dojrzałości" will be screened in the Polish Film Panorama section. In the “Night of Student Films” programme, there are films such as “Lena & I” by Kalina Alabrudzińska, “Mother Earth” by Piotr Złotorowicz, "Płoty" by Natalia Krawczuk, "Nie trać głowy" by Karolina Specht and "Za drzwiami" by Sara Bustamante-Drozdek.

 This year, the President of the Short Film Competition of the Cracow Film Festival will be Lodz Film School Rector Prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek. The jury will also include: Daniel Mulloy, Igor Prassel and Eric Wojcik. The jury of the Polish Film Competition includes: the President, Piotr Dumała, who is also a  Lodz Film School lecturer, Janusz Wróblewski, Hanna Polak and Jarosław Kamiński (Head of the Editing Faculty at our school). The Documentary Film Competition Jury consists of: Wieland Speck, Martin Blaney, Hans Robert Eisenhauer, Piotr Rosołowski and Audrius Stonys.

 The Cracow Film festival, which screening documentary films, animated films and short fiction films, is one of the oldest festivals in Europe. During the 8 festival days, viewers will be able to see 250 films from Poland and abroad during the competition and special screenings such as retrospectives, theme screenings and archive film screenings. Additional events such as concerts, exhibitions, meetings with film-makers will accompany the festival. Each year, the festival is visited by approximately 600 Polish and foreign guests: directors, producers, festival directors and numerous Cracow audiences.
