Student and teacher exchange and workshops in Lodz and Shanghai – now all this is possible! On 7 November, the Lodz Film School was visited by representatives of one of the most esteemed and biggest Universities in China - Shanghai University, which incorporates Shanghai Film Academy – an independent unit which specializes in film education.

Mariusz Grzegorzek, the Rector of our school, with his signature on the relevant documents declared a wish to cooperate with both Shanghai University – the document countersigned by Mr.Xu Xu, Vice President of Shanghai University, and also Shanghai Film Academy represented by Mr. He Xiaoqing, Executive Dean of Shanghai Film Academy. The agreement signed between our school and the university sets the frames for a broad cooperation whereas the agreement with the Shanghai Film Academy specifies the conditions of the first student exchange. As a matter of fact, a group of four Chinese students from Shanghai Film Academy are already participating in a month-long documentary workshop at the Lodz Film School, and next year our students will go to China.

Our guests also were: Guo Changgang, Executive Dean of Graduate School, Shanghai University; Jin Jiangbo, Vice Dean of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University and Liu Yi, Deputy Director of International Office, Shanghai University.
