EDITING FILM FESTIVAL once again – from 5 to 7 October. The School is the Festival’s Partner.
The Festival which focuses its attention on the editors, the people who are not noticeable from the viewers’ perspective is devoted to the issue of post-production. In the Main Competition the trophy of Golden Scissors is awarded to the editors of music videos, documentary and fiction films. In the competition there is an especially strong programme of short films and music videos, and among the documentaries and fiction films, four films from our school:

"Their voices" by Eri Mizutani, editing: Sabina Filipowicz, Tamahin Mehanni
"PLAY" by Piotr Sułkowski, editing: Aleksandra Gowin

Apart from the competition screenings there is an additional program which includes a full length documentary film "Over the Limit" directed by our graduate Marta Prus, and a film "Książę i Dybuk" by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski. After the screenings – discussions with the films’ editors.
The Festival provides encounters with post-production specialists - DiFactory Staff will talk about the special effects used in the film "Zimna Wojna" (Cold War) by Paweł Pawlikowski. You will be able to find out how to coordinate the post-production of international projects, and also enrol for the American Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). In the Festival programme there is a workshop devoted to colour correction organized by the FilmPRO.
