This year’s edition of the 58th Krakow Film Festival won’t take place without films that were made by people from Film School in Łódź. In this prestigious international competition we will see “The Sisters” by Michał Hytroś (cinematography: Janusz Szymański, artistic supervision: Grażyna Kędzielawska, Dorota Wardęszkiewicz and Jacek Bławut) and “Over the Limit” by our graduate Marta Prus (artistic supervision: Leszek Dawid, production: Telemark), that film appeared on the prestigious list of the Variety magazine - "10 Europeans to Watch" 2018. The documentary film by Marta tells a story of Russian gymnast, Margarita Mamun, who on her road to Olympic trophies must face her rivals, as well as her own limitations.

In National Competition – Documentary films – "Guest" - a documentary by a graduate of Direction of Photography – Sebastian Weber, produced by Munk Studio (film supervision: - Jacek Bławut), "Unconditional Love" by Rafał Łysak (artistic supervision - Jacek Bławut and Katarzyna Boniecka) – a graduate of the Acting Department of our School, - this time standing on the other side of the camera and "Notes on Life. A movie about Edward Żebrowski" a film by Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz, a lecturer at the Direction Department of our School. Amongst narrative films, in the same Competition – films by our students and graduates – "It’s Summer" by Filip Bojarski (cinematography: Tomasz Wierzbicki, artistic supervision: Mariusz Grzegorzek), "Tremors" by Dawid Bodzak (cinematography: Adam Suzin, artistic supervision: Łukasz Barczyk, Jolanta Dylewska, Jarosław Kamiński), "Operation" directed by Mohammed Almughanni (cinematography: Michał Modlinger, supervision: Robert Gliński, Jolanta Dylewska), "Play" dir. Piotr Sułkowski (cinematography: Remigiusz Wojaczek, artistic supervision: Jacek Bławut) and "Happiness" dir. Maciej Buchwald (cinematography: Tomasz Gajewski, artistic supervision: Filip Bajon). In the animated film category we have "The Other" by Marta Magnuska (artistic supervision: Mariusz Wilczyński and Joanna Jasińska-Koronkiewicz) and "Bless you" by Paulina Ziółkowska (supervision: Piotr Dumała, Piotr Milczarek).

In the Polish Panorama section: "Hocus Mommy Pocus" by Anna Pawluczuk (cinematography: Piotr Żurawski, artistic supervision: Mariusz Grzegorzek, Witold Sobociński, Andrzej Musiał), "Sashka" by Katarzyna Lesisz (cinematography: Michał Dymek, supervision: Filip Bajon, Jolanta Dylewska), "Tsantsa" by Robin Lipo cinematography: Krzysztof Franciszek Globisz, supervision: Jan Jakub Kolski, Piotr Wojtowicz). During the KFF Market fair you will find - "Tsantsa" by Robin Lipo, "Their Voices" by Eri Mizutani (cinematography: Alicia Devaux, artistic supervision: Jacek Bławut, Andrzej Sapija), "The Sisters" by Michał Hytroś, "The Other" by Marta Magnuska, "Fascinatrix" by Justyna Mytnik (cinematography: Maciej Twardowski, supervision: Jan Jakub Kolski, Jacek Bławut).
