Lodz Film School Rector, Mariusz Grzegorzek, runs a two-day-long master class for Shanghai Film Academy students.

The master class started with a lecture on the Lodz Film School’s history and was accompanied by a screening of our graduates' student films such as: Roman Polański’s "Dwaj ludzie z szafą", Witold Leszczyński’s "Zabawa", Krzysztof Kieślowski’s "Urząd", Zbigniew Rybczyński’s "Kwadrat", Sławomir Fabicki’s "Męska sprawa".

Then, another lecture followed, this time, devoted to the educational program and teaching philosophy at our school, and finally a class devoted to teaching film direction. Here as examples served the films: "Echo" by Magnus von Horn and "Taki pejzaż" by Jagoda Szelc. The Rector also talked about the latest productions – the full-length diploma films of our acting students, and the fragments of one of them, “The Singing Napkin” were shown.

The Rector, Mariusz Grzegorzek, and Marcin Malatyński, Head of International Relations have been invited by Shanghai Film Academy whose representatives visited our school last October. The visit of our school authorities in Shanghai is the next step towards the co-operation between both our schools.
