Where’s a human soul located? In the heart, in the mind or somewhere else?- ponders an old doctor from a Siberian psychiatric hospital in Kasperski’s film IKONA, the winner of Polish Film Competition

Polish Film Competition Jury consisting of: Joanna Kos-Krauze – President, Agnieszka Glińska, Stefan Laudyn, Ewa Sobolewska, Agnieszka Zwiefka, awarded the GOLDEN LAJKONIK Prize funded by the Chairman of Polish Filmmakers Society to Wojciech Kasperski, the director of the Best Film “IKONA”.

The jury statement referring to the film Ikona said: “A tender, yet shocking film, narrated with great maturity, heart and care. It brings back the significance of primary questions, those most important ones. It reminds us of a simple fact that sometimes film can be a piece of art. This one, for sure, is.
