"For a long time I have been planning to build a flying mechanism. I’ve tested many ideas and finally witch’s broomstick turned out to be the best. I called it the Flightless. (Nie Lot) In fact, it became much more than a mere construction. The Flightless became ethereal, sophisticated, feather light, misty, spider-web-like, ephemeral and volatile. When I look at the sky and stars through it I feel how small and insignificant I am. Or may be just the contrary, I feel greatness, sublimity and a wish to bond with the vast universe?" writes Grzegorz Przyborek, who dedicates his exhibition to Franz Reichelt.
