Looking back at the festival history it turns out that „Łodzią po Wiśle” winners proved to be successful artists later on too winning many prizes at Polish and international festivals. For example, Grzegorz Jaroszuk’s Grand Prix winning film „Opowieści z chłodni” from 2010 was later awarded at over 30 international festivals, and his fiction debut film „Kebab i Horoskop” which was made in 2014 got prizes at Festivals in Gdynia, London and Rome, being appreciated by both film audience and critics. Magnus von Horn’s diploma film „Without Snow”, the winner of „Łodzią po Wiśle” in 2011, was a good start of the director’s career which led to his full-length film debut „Intruz”, the prize winner at Gdynia Film Festival, also awarded by the Swedish Film Academy. Among other „Łodzią po Wiśle” winners there are present successful Polish directors such as Leszek Dawid (known for the films „Ki” and „Jesteś Bogiem”) who won 2004 festival with the film “Bar at Victoria Station”), and Jan Komasa (known for the films „Sala samobójców” and „Miasto 44″) who received a distinction at the 2004 festival for the film „Fajnie, że jesteś”.
