Arts Council Norway representatives accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Infrastucture, the visitors at Oskar Kon’s Villa, the site of the Lodz Film School.

- I’ve seen many places in Lodz. But this one especially will stay in my mind – Just the names of the school’s graduates alone are very impressive. – said Brit Holtebekk from Arts Council Norway. The other visitor from the Council was Alexandra Petie Einen. Amongst the accompanying guests there were representatives of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development.

The guests were received by prof. Janusz Tylman, Rector’s Plenipotentiary in charge of school development and the school’s chancellor, Igor Duniewski. The guests visited the Rectorate Building (Kon’s Villa), film archive in the basement of the New Media Centre and other floors in the building accommodating editing rooms, animation classrooms, and the Conservatory – school art gallery. On the school tour they also visited the film and television studios. During the visit there was also a screening of the film “Sing Me to Sleep” shot in Norway by our Norwegian cinematography graduate Magnus Borge and directed by another Norwegian graduate of our school Magnus Arnesen. Traditionally the guests took their photos on the famous stairs where lots of school graduates, now famous film-makers, used to sit, relax and engage into film discussions.
