Not in Radom, Rzeszów, Krakow or Warszawa but in Łódź at the Drama Schools’ Festival starts the professional career path of acting students. The 33rd Festival opened yesterday!

The Festival was opened by Lodz Film School Rector prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek – I still don’t like festivals, nothing’s changed here. However, I have the honour to take care of this festival which is absolutely exceptional being a place of a meeting and energy exchange rather than a race for prizes – said the Film School Rector. - I come here each year and I never have doubts where I am – Łódź means incredible energy – said Warsaw Drama Academy Rector prof. Andrzej Strzelecki.
- Let’s row together – encouraged from the stage Krakow Drama School Rector prof. Ewa Kutryś. Prof. Krzysztof Kuliński, Dean of Acting Department of the Wroclaw School pointed out the magic festival number “33”, which can be treated as anticipation of best quality acting to be graded the highest mark „6”. He also passed greetings from Wroclaw.

After the official opening there was a special screening of a film „Singing Cloth” – the first in the history of artistic education full-length diploma film of acting students. The film with participation of fourth year acting students was directed by Rector prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek.
– Many times I had been asked questions why there were no actors’ diploma films made in a school which is a film school after all. It was difficult to deny the logic of it. – said the Rector before the film screening. – We had considered the suggestion and the first acting diploma film was made. We have festival and cinema distribution plans of the film.

The Festival Opening was followed by a party at the school.

Thus, the 33rd Drama Schools’ Festival was officially and unofficially opened.
