There are many factors which contribute to the audio side of a film starting from the work of a professional sound recordist, the equipment used (on the set, in a studio while editing sound, and finally the professional sound mix studio certified by DOLBY) up to the final sound material and the place of the film’s screening.

The workshop is addressed to creative film-makers, authors of fiction, documentary and animation films produced for cinema distribution as well as festival presentations, and those film-makers who wish to extend their knowledge on film sound post-production. The workshop organizers hope to interest in the workshop’s subject matter not only film directors or sound specialists, but also production managers, composers, musicians, etc

Among the speakers there are: Michał Kosterkiewicz, Jacek Hamela, Sebastian Witkowski, Piotr Knop, Zbigniew Zbrowski, Monika Głowacka, and others. The following issues will be discussed during the workshop: sound equipment, professional sound recording in various situations (dialogues, special effects, music), work of a sound recordist on the set and co-operation with producers at various levels, etc The workshop will also tackle the subjects of the role of a music consultant, as well as the issue of using a piece of music in film and its costs. The workshop participants will also learn how to plan for the sound post-production and finally the sound-mix without exceeding the budget available.

The workshop meeting will take place at the first spring weekend 21 and 22 March, 2015. The number of workshop participants cannot exceed 40 people, who will be selected out of all applicants from the whole of Poland.
