A Danish film director and Lodz Film School graduate, Kathrine Windfeld, died at the age of 48.
She graduated from the Lodz Film School in 1995. She worked as a film director and screenwriter, mostly known in Denmark as a director of film-series "Wallander", "Rita" and "The Team".
“With her insisting power and energy she was on the threshold of realizing the full potential of an already impressive career,” wrote managing director Henrik Bo Nielsen of the Danish Film Institute. “Her infectious humour and sometimes furious energy will be remembered and missed.”
