We concluded an international editing workshop, which brought together participants from various art schools: FAMU (Czech Republic), VŠMU (Slovakia), ADU (Croatia), RITCS (Belgium) & PWSFTviT (Poland)
From October 12–16, fourth-year film editing students took part in the international BIP European Editing Masterclass workshop, which this year was held at the Royal Institute for Cinema, Theatre and Sound (RITCS) in Brussels.
For many years, the workshops have been held on a rotating basis, taking place at a different school each year. This year’s programme involved several European art schools: FAMU (Czech Republic), VŠMU (Slovakia), ADU (Croatia), and RITCS (Belgium), alongside the Lodz Film School, which was represented by students Kalina Borek, Apolonia Geppert, Weronika Iżel, Daria Kaźmierczak, and Filip Polsakiewicz.
Participants in the workshop worked in small, international groups under the guidance of tutors from the aforementioned schools. Our school was also represented by faculty members from the Department of Film Editing: Natalia Jacheć and Kasia Drozdowicz. This annual workshop serves not only as an opportunity to expand one’s knowledge of filmmaking through practical exercises, but also as an international platform for the exchange of experience among both students and their mentors.
The programme was carried out as part of the Erasmus+ Programme.
