The Clapham International Film Festival is an event which promotes bold and uncompromising cinema, with organizers aiming to screen films in atmospheric venues. This year, the fifth edition ran from 16 to 20, September.

The festival jury awarded Varvara Zarytska’s fiction film „How to Fall Out of Love”, commending the sensitivity with which the director approached the subject of love, as well as the beauty of the cinematography.

Congratulations!

This is yet another accolade for Varvara’s film, which has already won prizes at the Mykolaichuk OPEN Festival in Ukraine and CONTACT ISFF in Turkey (for cinematography).

 HOW TO FALL OUT OF LOVE

Film synopsis: Agata is going through a painful breakup. Rummaging through the dusty recesses of her memory and archival footage, she desperately tries to understand the reasons behind her romantic failure. If our memory is a creation, then what is film?
