The Manaki Brothers International Cinematographers' Film Festival is the oldest film festival dedicated to the art of cinematography. The festival runs in Bitola, the city where the Manaki brothers—Yanaki and Milton, pioneers of Balkan cinema—were active in the early 20th century; in 1905, they shot the first film in the Ottoman Empire in the village of Avdela. The award for best cinematography presented at the ICFF Manaki Brothers is the Camera 300.

The 47th Manaki Brothers Festival runs from 19 to 25, September.

Film synopsis: A man arrives at an abandoned hotel, where an eerie silence wraps around him like a warning. Wandering through dimly lit corridors, he finds no signs of life—only a solitary, unattended meal waiting in the dining room.

Film synopsis: A man, a woman, and their driver are trying to make their way south. During the journey, they grow closer to one another.
