Others
We look fondly at this year's selection of short films. The programme includes exceptional films by our students and graduates. We're off to Masuria!
The programme of the Short Film Competition of the 11th WAMA FF includes 25 films.
- This year's Short Film Competition creates a multi-voiced story about closeness, care, memory, identity, and responsibility for others," says Marta Karnkowska, festival organizing director and Short Film Competition programmer. "Many films take their starting points from the most intimate experiences: the need for love, tenderness, and acceptance, first feelings, unrequited desires, parenthood, caring for loved ones, family tensions, separations, and attempts to find one's place in relationships. These are difficult topics that require thought and reflection, but at the same time, they are often inextricably linked with fantastic, intelligent, and effortless humour."
We especially recommend seeing the films:
QUARTER dir. Maja Górczak, prod. Lodz Film School
DICKFLIP dir. Dominik Hadziewicz, prod. Lodz Film School
STAR dir. Mieszko Chomka, prod. Lodz Film School
A SHORT FILM ABOUT WAR dir. Nadim Suleiman, prod. Lodz Film School
SKRAWKI dir. Olga Papacz, prod. Lodz Film SchooL
DREAM UP THE TITLE dir. Klaudia Fortuniak, prod. Lodz Film School
