Nest is the international competition for student short films at the San Sebastian International Film Festival. This year's competition received a total of 503 entries from 232 schools in 61 countries. Angelika's film is among 14 selected films from Austria, China, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and, of course, Poland. The screening at the festival will be its Spanish premiere.

The Festival runs from 21 to 25, September.

Angelika, a directing student, will be accompanied at the festival by Alicja Krajewska, production manager and the Film Art Organization Dept. student.

For the Lodz Film School, which is represented by the film in the NEST Competition, this is also an opportunity to appoint a member of the student jury. Gor Arushanyan, a directing student from our school, will serve on this year's jury. Jakub Słoniec, an editing student, also received an invitation to San Sebastian.

DYING OF THE YOUNG DEER
Film synopsis: Helka leaves her family home and walks through the village to her husband's house. She carries with her a duvet filled with goose feathers. Despite the silence of the journey, Helka hears things that have never been spoken before.
