The Octopus Film Festival is the largest celebration of genre cinema in Poland, held in Gdańsk since 2018. The festival aims to present the best and most exceptional international genre films and celebrate film viewing as a unique, communal experience.

The 9th Octopus Film Festival runs from 11-16 August, and its programme, in the OCTOPUS SHORTS section, includes films by our students and graduates:

This is what the festival organizers write about the OCTOPUS SHORTS section: "(...) short films are not a waiting room before "real" cinema, but a separate, wild planet where filmmakers allow themselves everything that full-length films are sometimes too cautious about. Thirty minutes or less, no compromises, maximum imagination: this is cinema in its concentrated form."
