The most important industry event, the New Horizons International Film Festival, is behind us. Our directing graduates: Emi Buchwald, Kei Ishikawa, and Kalina Alabrudzińska’s projects were the best.
During Polish Days, filmmakers present their latest projects: works in development, excerpts in post-production, or finished films. These are then viewed at private screenings by international film industry representatives who can learn about the latest Polish cinema at every stage of production. The event is co-organized by the Polish Film Institute.
We are proud to announce that we will soon see films by our Film and Television Directing Department graduates on the big screen – their projects have been awarded by Polish Days partners:
* HISTORIA DOMU FIEDLERÓW dir. Emi Buchwald, prod. Telemark; producer: Piotr Śmiechowski - a production graduate
A financial award of PLN 35,000 from Mid March Media & The Bridge;
A distinction in the form of production and post-production services worth PLN 50,000 from the Wrocław Feature Film Studio;
A No Problemo Music award in the form of a co-production contribution to audio post-production worth PLN 75,000.
MAKonLine Insurance has decided to award two equal prizes of PLN 5,000 each to the following projects:
* WYPRAWA dir. Kei Ishikawa, produced by Lava Films; producer: Marta Gmosińska - a production graduate
* POLKA dir. Kalina Alabrudzińska, produced by WIR; producer - Michał Kiedrowicz - a production graduate.
