A graduate and lecturer at our School, he was an accomplished cinematographer, director and television producer. He passed away on July 4th at the age of 90. / Information about funeral arrangements.
The funeral will begin on July 13, 2026, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at the Doły Municipal Cemetery in Łódź.
Mieczysław Małysz was a graduate of the Cinematography Department of the Lodz Film School and, from 1973, also a long-time, valued lecturer there. He worked at the Łódź branch of Polish Television as a cinematographer, director and television producer.
He co-created news, social, and current affairs programmes and worked on television shows and documentaries. His credits include directing numerous Television Theatre productions.
Professionalism, reliability, and the selfless sharing of his vast knowledge and experience – these are the values that have indelibly etched Mieczysław Małysz in our memory.
