This is the 10th edition of the RAVEKJAVÍK music and visual arts festival, which runs in Łódź from June 26-27. We invite you to the exhibition of the Ravekjavik Filmschool Forever photography.
The first day of the RAVEKJAVIK Festival features concerts held in the renovated Power Plant space in the Fuzja complex at 6A, Milionowa Street.
On the second day, the festival moves to the former textile warehouses at 52, Niciarniana Street.
During the Festival, the exhibition "Ravekjavik Filmschool Forever," of the works of our photography students, will be on view on June 27th at 52 Niciarniana Street.
At the festival of visual arts and electronic music, the Lodz Film School presents an experimental show where moving image, photography, sound, space, and generative systems come together in a collaborative artistic practice.
Video, spatial installations, electronic music compositions, and projects based on algorithmic processes create a multidimensional field of experience in which perception, rhythm, viewer presence, and the relationship between image and technology are explored. We are interested in the moment when photography and film cease to be merely projection or recording, and become an environment: an open audiovisual structure responding to time, space, sound, and the conditions of presentation. The works on show reveal different ways of thinking about the image as an event—material, performative, and computational. This is a proposal to consider contemporary photographic and film practice as a space where visual arts, electronic music, performance, and new media converge.
