Abstraction has different rules... A joint exhibition of artists from the Lodz Film School and Lodz Polytechnic is coming up - we invite you to the Biblio-Art Gallery on June 8th at 4 p.m.
The world has its own order, and our surroundings are a fact. Abstraction, however, is governed by different laws and creates its own system, elusive in everyday life, impossible to understand in the real world. But sometimes reality blurs the differences and becomes almost indistinguishable from abstraction, yet, observed long enough, it reveals fragments of the real world. In this sense, photographs become a study of the impenetrable perception of our surroundings, a kaleidoscopic look at actual shapes, an attempt to record our afterimages.
The exhibition will showcase the work of individuals with extensive photography experience, as well as those just beginning their adventure in the field. SKN Analogue members are photography enthusiasts pursuing their passion as future architects. Designing is about creating composition, which significantly influences the way the world is synthesized in the works of these young artists. Teachers from the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Lodz Polytechnic, as well as teachers from the Department of Film Art Organization at the Leon Schiller Lodz Film School, enrich the exhibition with their experience and artistic maturity. At the intersection of these diverse approaches to art, design, and composition, we create an unprecedented blend of maturity and artistic innovation, a different perspective on the same form of creativity, and a different interpretation of the same subject.

Izabela Łapińska, dr Anna Pachnicka, dr Roman Sawka, mgr Małgorzata Zalewska, mgr Monika Żelazowska, and teachers of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Lodz Polytechnic.
