From 8th to 10th, May, we invite you to the Charlie Cinema for a review of the work of Piotr Dumała, our professor at the Department of Animated Film.

PIOTR DUMAŁA is an outstanding director, screenwriter, and set designer of animated and feature films. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He is a full professor of film art, lecturer in the Department of Animated Film and Special Effects at the Lodz Film School, former visiting professor at Konstfack College of Art in Eksjo, Sweden, and visiting lecturer at Harvard University in Cambridge, USA.

Winner of over one hundred Polish and international awards for his film work, including the "Dragon of Dragons" Lifetime Achievement Award from the 2021 Krakow Film Festival. Author of posters, press and book illustrations, and comics. Poet, songwriter, and short story writer. Inventor of the plasterboard animation technique. Best known for his films: "Fin Del Mundo", "Łagodna", "Franz Kafka", "Zbrodnia i kara", "Czarny Kapturek", "Lykantropia", "Nerwowe życie", "Latające włosy", "Wolność nogi".
