Our lecturer at the Directing Department, Prof. Krzysztof Heyke, is nominated in the "Single – Culture" category, and our photography graduate Karolina Jonderko in the "Single–Climate, responsibility.
The jury of the 22nd Grand Press Photo competition nominated 244 photos by 38 authors for the finals.
Among them are representatives of the Lodz Film School: * Prof. KRZYSZTOF HEYKE, lecturer at the Lodz Film School – in the "Single – Culture" category
Concert for the Vistula River performed by pianist Maria Gabryś on a piano placed on a historic boat.
* KAROLINA JONDERKO, photography graduate – ‘’Single – Climate, responsability” category
March 2, 2026 – the day before coal mining ceased at the Leon II shaft in Ruch Rydułtowy, part of the ROW Combined Mine. This was one of many stages in the gradual phasing out of hard coal mining in Poland. The photo shows the 6 a.m. crew waiting for the end of the shift.
