The 18th International Short Film Festival GO SHORT runs from 7 to 12, April.

This is a significant European short film festival. The films screened at the festival are eligible for selection to be considered for Oscar, BAFTA, and EFA awards. This year's programme includes our student films and a film by the distinguished graduate of directing, Krzysztof Kieślowski.

Synopsis: The smell of mine smoke envelops a forgotten Polish housing estate. The young man shaves his head, puts on a tracksuit, and confronts the shadow of his big brother and his past.

* MY SECRET CYBERLOVE by Bartosz Stankiewicz will compete for the European Audience Award.

Competition films are shown year-round at major European festivals, including the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival, Brussels Short Film Festival, Interfilm Berlin, Tampere FF, and others. Next stop: Nijmegen, and we're keeping our fingers crossed for Bartosz!

Film synopsis: Robert is in a relationship with a sex robot and runs a cake shop with his mother. When the cake oven breaks, his toxic father returns to fix it. The presence of his father tests Robert's love for the robot.
