Polish Film Institute applications for a three-day masterclass program aimed at filmmakers, particularly producers, directors, early-career film project developers, and students. Deadline - 31st March

The three-day masterclass will take place on April 29 and 30 and May 8, 2026, at the Polish Film Institute’s headquarters at 2 Kruczkowskiego Street in Warsaw.
Participation in the classes is free of charge.

The program was designed primarily for emerging filmmakers working on feature, documentary, or animated film projects in the development or production stages who wish to expand their knowledge of the domestic and international audiovisual market.

Participants will take part in expert lectures, hands-on workshops, case study analyses, and mentoring sessions led by renowned producers and industry specialists. It is worth noting that initiatives aimed at effectively and systematically improving the qualifications of film industry professionals have been included in the Polish Film Institute’s (PISF) competitive development concept, developed by Director Kamila Dorbach.

Topics covered in the PISF masterclass: film co-production, promotion of the film festival, how to prepare a project for international development under European programs, film distribution, communication and promotion of film projects.

Application and Selection Guidelines Your application to participate in the masterclass should include:
– a resume,
– a cover letter in which the candidate outlines their professional or artistic career to date and their planned path for further development, along with a brief explanation of why participation in the masterclass program is important to them.

Please include in your application the dates on which the candidate plans to attend the workshops. To participate in the program, you must attend at least two training days.

Please send your application, including your resume and cover letter, to masterclass@pisf.pl by the end of the day on March 31, 2026.

Due to the limited number of spots (25) and the fact that the program is designed for a small group, we reserve the right to contact only selected applicants. When selecting participants, we will consider both the alignment of the candidate’s profile with the course topics and their availability—in particular, their ability to attend all three days of the program.
