On Thursday, the Lodz Film School was visited by Helena Třeštíková, one of the most important contemporary documentary filmmaker, who led a masterclass with students.

Helena Třeštíková is the creator of the famous "time collection" method, which involves long-term, often multi-year, observation of characters. Jakub Hejna, editor of Helena Třeštíková's films, was the special guest of the meeting. The meeting was coordinated by Jarosław Wszędybył, lecturer at the Directing Department.

The Czech director met with students from our school and, drawing on excerpts from her films, spoke about the most important aspects of a director's collaboration with individual members of the film crew: the cinematographer, editor, and producer.

The Film School Cinema also hosted a screening of the film KATKA.

Thank you for the visit!
