A conference celebrating the Andrzej Wajda Year in Łódź was held at the National Centre for Culture. The Łódź Film School is a partner of the event.

"A conversation which continues" – this is the slogan of the Andrzej Wajda Year celebrations in Łódź.

During the press conference, it was announced how Łódź UNESCO City of Film will celebrate 2026: not with monuments, but in dialogue with the work, process and courage of the Master's artistic choices.

The meeting was attended by: Małgorzata Moskwa-Wodnicka (Vice-President of Łódź), Monika Głowacka (Deputy Director of EC1 for NCKF), Katarzyna Mąka-Malatyńska (Vice-Rector for science and artistic creativity at the Lodz Film School) and Anna Michalska (Head of the Cinema and Events Department at the Film Museum).

The Lodz Film School programme will focus on the Master-Student relationship. A planned academic session will analyze Wajda's ethical and artistic stance, and the photography exhibition "after_views" will showcase the dialogue between the young generation of students and the director's aesthetics.

Special events will also take place at EC1 and the Film Museum. The calendar of all events is available on the Andrzej Wajda Year website (wajda.pisf.pl), where current information about projects implemented in Poland and abroad is published.
