NO GHOST ON GOOD STREET is the feature-length debut of Emi Buchwald, for which she received, among others, the Andrzej Żuławski Golden Claw and the Journalists' Award at the 50th Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia.

The film crew included graduates of our School.

Film synopsis: Four siblings, entering adulthood, struggle to find their own paths without losing the bonds which bind them. The youngest, Benek, faces painful rejection from his older brother, Franek, who until then had been his best friend. He is also haunted by a mysterious apparition – Dusiołek – who prevents him from sleeping and triggers sudden panic attacks. Franek, who runs away from his family, becomes entangled in a toxic relationship, falls into drug problems, and sinks deeper into chaos. His condition worries Nastka, his twin sister, who herself longs for love and stability. The eldest, Jana, is working on an art project which is to bring solace not only to her younger siblings but also to herself.

The National Centre for Film Culture invites you to a pre-premiere screening and a Q&A with the director on Thursday, February 5th at 7 p.m. in the Odeon Auditorium.
