The jury, appointed by the Foundation for Cinema and the "KINO" Foundation, decided on the award.
The jury members were:
- Magdalena Czerwińska, actress, twice nominated for the Cybulski Award (2009, 2011),
- Jakub Gierszał, actor, recipient of the Award (2011),
- Anna Kempys, film journalist (Interia.pl),
- Magdalena Łazarkiewicz, director,
- Maciej Sobieszczański, director.

Agata Turkot is an acting graduate of the Lodz Film School. She played Gośka Nowak in the film "GOOD HOME", directed by Wojciech Smarzowski, our cinematography graduate.

This year's nominees also included: our school graduate, Sebastian Dela (for his role in the film "Błazny" – our acting students’ diploma film), our school graduate Izabella Dudziak (for her role in the film "No ghosts on Dobra Street"), Karolina Rzepa (for her role in the film "No ghosts on Dobra Street") and Bartłomiej Deklewa (for his role in the film "No ghosts on Dobra Street").

The Zbyszek Cybulski Award has been presented since 1969. The main idea of the Award's founders is to recognize "young actors distinguished by their outstanding individuality."
The first recipient was Daniel Olbrychski.
