Artur Borowiecki's book "Narrative Structures in the 21st Century TV Series", published by the Publishing Houses of the University of Lodz and the Lodz Film School, is available in our bookstore.

Artur Borowiecki, currently a lecturer in the Department of Film and Audiovisual Media at the University of Lodz, is a screenwriting graduate of the Lodz Film School. He developed this textbook while still a student, as part of Maciej Kubicki's classes and Professor Jolanta Lemann-Zajiček's master's seminar.

This publication classifies and describes the dominant narrative styles in television series. Using the first seasons of such productions as "The Sopranos," "Mad Men," "The Wire," and "Breaking Bad," the author analyzes recurring patterns and principles of contemporary storytelling, as well as the formal aspects of television series plots. This is not only a theoretical reflection but also a practical tool for screenwriters, film students, and anyone who wants to consciously watch and analyze television series, perhaps even write their own scripts.

If you're fascinated by how narrative is constructed in the best productions of recent decades, this book is for you.

The book is available for purchase at the Lodz Film School Bookstore: ksiegarnia.filmschool.lodz.pl
