On Friday, November 14, the Iluzjon cinema in Warsaw will host a presentation of series projects created by students of the Lodz Film School in cooperation with Netflix.

This is the third edition of the development programme implemented by the Film School and the NETFLIX platform.
Three projects from the previous two seasons have advanced to the production phase. This Friday, the students will present six projects in development. Each project includes a pilot and a script for the entire season.

The project authors are looking for producers who are willing to continue development work.

"It began, like every hero's story, with a sense of lack. We lacked a pretext which would bring young screenwriters, creative producers, and directors together in one place. We lacked a unified language our students could reliably communicate with each other. We lacked a goal, like a pilot and the bible of a strong, fresh project in hand. We lacked a platform like the pitching session to meet. But, as we know, lack is a great place to start dreaming. Netflix encouraged us to dream boldly. And so we began to dream. To dream of uniting these radically different personalities and creating creative teams ready to meet the industry's expectations. To dream of instilling the principles of television craft while simultaneously nurturing the individual writing style and sensitivity of young creators. To dream of our development workshop becoming a bridge for our most talented students, who will soon leave the school and enter the industry with a bang. Fortunately, no one in the world has as much experience in fulfilling dreams as we, the filmmakers.

The Lodz Film School and Netflix collaborated to create a development programme involving screenwriting, production, and directing students. From February to October, six teams developed their ideas, writing about things which matter to them, things that hurt, touch, make them think, and are also great entertainment. The teams experienced ups and downs. Projects crashed, transformed, and then were put back together. Some collaborations fell apart, while others became stronger than anyone could have imagined. Throughout this time, we have received invaluable assistance from experts provided by Netflix: Katrin Merkel (SerialEyes, DFFB), Sue Ahern (BBC), Naomi Levari (Black Sheep Film Productions), and Linda Green (Leading Creative Talent, BBC, SKY). Today, after nine months of work, we are ready to present to you the results of our small series laboratory.".
