Would you agree that the story and presence of the creator can be as important to viewers as their work? Would you agree that demanding that an art object express its own meanings has become a cultural myth? A work speaks for itself if it speaks to someone—Stanisław Lec's unpolished thought increasingly aligns with times unfavourable to focused attention, knowledge accumulation, contemplation, and the practice of shared existence.

If, out of concern for the recipient, you want to guide them to a conscious encounter with your work – take part in transgrafia 3.5, yet another in a series of exhibitions expanding the boundaries of graphic art, sensitive to social issues, emphasizing freedom and open to experimentation.

This time we want to encourage you not only to present your work, but also to tell others about your creative process and to share your authentic presence at the exhibition site with them.

For the exhibition, organized by the International Print Triennial Association in Krakow in collaboration with the Łódź Film School, you can submit a work with broadly defined graphic characteristics or elements. The subject matter, medium, and technique are optional. The selection for the exhibition will be made by the Jury: Ksawery Kaliski, Bronka Nowicka, Przemysław Truściński, Małgorzata ET BER Warlikowska, and Katarzyna Wojtyga.

Once you qualify for the exhibition, we will invite you to the Łódź Film School, where, under the guidance of professionals, you will become the subject of a short film about your work, your journey to it, and your inspirations. Based on a live interview with students, the short film will be made available during the exhibition and will serve as a prelude for viewers to experience your work. We'll prepare you for the filming during two online meetings, ensuring you're fully comfortable on set.

We also ask you to act as a vigil for the work during the exhibition opening and to be open to contact with the guests: a gesture, a word, an exchange of views or a celebration of silence.

We believe that the unusual format of transgrafia 3.5, resulting from the desire to emphasize the importance of encounter and understanding in the field of art and everyday life, will help us cultivate these qualities.
