Nearly 50 artists are competing for this year's Awards.

The Jan Machulski Awards are a unique project which unites seven Polish festivals. At each festival, the jury nominates short filmmakers in eight categories, recognizing directors, actors, screenwriters, cinematographers, editors, and creators of documentary and animated films. At each of them, the jury nominates artists making short films in 8 categories, recognizing directors, actors, screenwriters, cinematographers, editors as well as documentary and animation filmmakers.

The winners will be announced during the CINEMAFORUM Festival on October 26, in nine categories: Best Animated Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Direction and Best Film.

The winners will be selected by a jury composed of: Michał Szcześniak, Bartosz Pietras, Adam Bajerski, Bartosz Stankiewicz, Sylwia Motyl, Grzegorz Milczarczyk.
