Wanda Mirowska graduated from the University of Lodz with a degree in Polish phylology, specializing in film studies,. She was a student of Professor Bolesław Lewicki, a pioneer of Polish film studies in Poland. She worked at the State Scientific Publishing House, served as artistic director of Arthouse Cinemas at the Voivodeship Cinema Board, and led meetings with filmmakers. She was one of the key figures at the Lubuskie Film Summer in Łagów.

For over 30 years she lectured at our School, where she taught courses on documentary film, film distribution and promotion.

She was the heroine of the film SKRÓĆ PAN TO! (SHORTEN IT, MISTER!) (2016) directed by Monika Meleń and Aleksandra Rek.

We say goodbye to a wonderful lecturer, devoted to her students, and a very important figure for the Lodz Film School.
