We invite you to Wrocław for a street and documentary photography event which begins on October 10th. We especially recommend a meeting with our student, Paula Mroczkowska, on October 12th at noon.
Z BLISKA (CLOSELY) is a three-day event focusing on street and documentary photography held at the New Horizons Cinema in Wrocław. Its second edition takes place from 10 to 12, October.
We highly recommend a meeting with our photography student, winner of the Grand Press Photo competition - Paula Mroczkowska (filmschool.lodz.pl/news). The meeting with her and the other competition winners will take place on 12th October at noon.

Paula Mroczkowska, 1995. / artist, visual creator, photographer
A photography graduate from the University of Arts in Poznań, she is currently studying film, television, and photography at the National Film, Television, and Theatre School in Łódź. Drawing on her own memories, she is interested in transience and the changes that accompany this process. She strives to balance between documentation and introspection. Her primary artistic medium is photography, but she also utilizes moving images and the book format. Her current practice explores stories related to family relationships. In both long-term and short-term projects, she emphasizes that the most important aspect for her is being in the process, experiencing, observing, and analyzing in depth.
In 2021, her book was shown at a book review at the Zamek Cultural Centre in Poznań, as part of the "Studying Photobooks" event. In 2024, she participated in a group exhibition in Łódź and her photographic series "What After Us" was shown at this year's Photo Festival in Rybnik. She is currently participating in the mentoring programme at Pix House in Poznań. In 2025, she had her first solo photography exhibition in Łódź, titled "What Am I Doing Here?", which she implemented with the "Actions" Foundation and children from orphanages in Łódź.
