This will be the final stage of the project "Panorama of Polish Animation based on films by lecturers and students of the Lodz Film School". A film screening and workshops will be held in Brussels.
On October 7th and 8th, Polish Animation Panorama will return to the Belgian capital. Another screening of our animated films, along with creative workshops on various animation techniques, will be held at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles at the Maison des Arts.
The programme includes student animated films, both older and newer productions, including DUCK BROTH by Maria Dakszewicz, FIVE MINUTES OLDER by Sara Szymańska, and SUCH MIRACLES DO HAPPEN by Barbara Rupik. In addition to student films, there will also be films by lecturers teaching at the Animated Film and Special Effects Faculty, including Prof. Piotr Dumała, Dr. Joanna Jasińska-Koronkiewicz, Dr. Agata Gorządek, Dr. Piotr Milczarek, Dr. Marcin Podolec, and Prof. Aleksandra Chrapowicka.
Workshops on classic animation techniques will be led by fifth-year animation students Agnieszka Popińska, Olha Cherpak, Aleksandra Andrijewska, Dominik Kotlarz, and lecturer Prof. Aleksandra Chrapowicka. Together, they will demonstrate how using very simple materials can lead to highly creative animation.
Workshop participants and viewers of our films will have the opportunity to experience Polish culture, learn about the craft of animated film, and see how filmmakers' perception of the world has changed over the years.
The project was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund.
The project is under the Honorary Patronage of the Marshal of the Lodz Voivodeship, Joanna Skrzydlewska.
