The annual competition is organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Łódź Office. Since its inception, over 350 individuals have been recognized for their contributions to Łódź culture.

This year, from among the nominees submitted by eligible entities, the jury recognized nine individuals, including Izabela Łapińska, a professor at the Department of Film Art Organization.

Statement: Professor Łapińska has been creating photographs since 1993, exhibiting them worldwide, and organizing photographic exhibitions, festivals, conferences, and plein-air workshops. Since 2005, she has been a university teacher (currently affiliated with the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź). In addition to her photography, she also writes on photography, film, and advertising, with a focus on themes surrounding the body, abuse, and exclusion in art.

Among the award-winners was also our directing graduate, Mikołaj Szczęsny.
