Find out who our winners of this year's PRZEŹROCZA Festival are.
The competition is open to young filmmakers, and accepts Polish documentaries of up to 30 minutes in length. This year's jury, composed of Natalia Koniarz, Maria Zbąska, and Katarzyna Czajka-Kominiarczuk, awarded the following prizes:
* Best Cinematography Award *
LIFT LADY, dir. Marcin Modzelewski (editing graduate) cinematography: Jakub Urbański (cinematography graduate) prod. Munk Studio
For cinematography which adds further dimensions and meaning to the story. An intimate story about one person and one place takes on universal value thank to often monumental cinematography.
* Special Mention in the Cinematography Category *
DWUTAKT, dir. Olga Papacz (directing student) cinematography: Desi Kunsa (cinematography student) independent production
For the tender and delicate cinematography. In close-ups, we see the energy and effort of the young protagonists and recognize the potential hidden in this intimate story about aspiring athletes.
* Best Editing Award *
CZY TY MNIE SŁYSZYSZ, dir. Anastazja Naumenko editing: Aleksandra Rosset-Żak (editing graduate), Anastazja Naumenko prod. Animoon
For editing which explores the challenges of modern communication on many levels. The editor perfectly understands the emotions between the characters, allowing us to deeply feel their relationship.
* Special Mention in the Editing Category *
BLOODLINE, dir. Wojciech Węglarz (cinematography student) editing: Zuzanna Grabowska (editing student) prod. Munk Studio
For editing which creates an emotional rhythm. It leads us from detail to the abyss.
* Audience Award * The BŁYSK OKA competition audience also awarded their prize to the film CASTING, directed by Rafał Łysak (acting graduate) which received most votes;
The film is an independent production.
