We invite you to HABITAT – a joint exhibition of the Lodz Film School and the Gdańsk Academy of Fine Arts, which runs from September 5th in Sopot.

The PWSFTViT & ASP Gdańsk exhibition HABITAT is part of the programme of the 11th edition of the Photography Festival "W Ramach Sopotu".

In simulations, with an overabundance of data, false certainties, and synthetic relationships, we analyze and investigate. Without knowing ourselves, we change that which never needed changing.

Lost, we create beings more intelligent than ourselves, while simultaneously losing our own identity.

Artists focus on the symptoms of the contemporary condition: ecological, technological, existential.

These are images of a world in which degradation progresses externally – in the form of the changing world of flora and fauna, as well as internally – in humans who lose the boundaries between reality and simulation, between identity and algorithm.

While we remain trapped in a cycle of speculation, fear, and destruction, nature continues to find solutions. And it serves as a reminder that we may not be the centre of the world.
