FATHER, directed by Tereza Nvotová, co-produced by Lava Films from Łódź with the participation of the school's graduates, will premiere in the Orizzonti section of the Venice International Film Fest.
FATHER is a Slovak-Czech-Polish co-production, co-produced on the Polish side by Mariusz Włodarski (our graduate of the Department of Film Art Organization and lecturer) and Marta Gmosińska (graduate of the the same department) from Lava Films.
The DOP on the film was our cinematography graduate, Adam Suzin and the film was edited by Nikodem Chabior, our graduate of editing.
"Father" is the story of a man who had it all – until one tragic summer day when he realized too late that his daughter, whom he thought he had dropped off at preschool, was still locked in the backseat of the car… Over time, the protagonist learns what the "forgotten child syndrome" is – a loss of memory with fatal consequences which has caused hundreds of similar tragedies around the world. (producer’s info)
