The cross-border festival organized regularly as homage to Krzysztof Kieślowski will present films by our students, faculty, and alumni, including the competition entry, LOOK HOMEWARD.

The 14th edition of the Hommage à Kieślowski Festival runs from 29 to 31, August, in Sokołowsko.

"The festival is symbolically dedicated to the internationally acclaimed Polish film director Krzysztof Kieślowski, whose childhood and early youth are strongly connected to Sokołowsko and the Lower Silesia region. However, the event is not solely intended to promote the person and work of the director of "Blind Chance." Kieślowski has been a valuable starting point and inspiration for us for years, but it's important to emphasize that the entire film selection demonstrates the organizers' broader perspective on contemporary cinema, the work of masters as well as young filmmakers creating often unjustly forgotten classics." It is worth mentioning that the slogan of this year's edition is "Ends and Beginnings", which refers, among other things, to the title of the film produced by the Łódź Film School - ENDS AND BEGINNINGS directed by Klaudia Fortuniak, awarded during the first edition of the national short film competition in 2024.

In this year's short film competition, we will be showing Artem Rachkelyuk's fiction film LOOK HOMEWARD, the Golden Hobby-Horse Award winner at the 65th KFF this year.
