A fiction film LIOSHA by our directing graduate, Miłosz Sawicki, is in the Student Film Competition at the Georgian Golden Grape Festival.

The Golden Grape International Short Film Festival, which was established in 2022, takes place in Telavi. This year's edition runs from 1 to 5, September.

So far, the film has been shown in Norway, Great Britain, Ukraine, Thailand, Turkey and Italy, as well as in Poland where it was screened in the competitions of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and the Camerimage Festival.

Film synopsis: Two Ukrainian brothers, Liossa and Dmytro, live and work in Poland. It is here where they find out about the outbreak of war in Ukraine. Each of them will eventually have to make a decision whether to go back to the country where there is the war, or stay in Poland. It is an intimate story about ordinary people entangled in a great drama, about a boy who gains his own voice, but at the price of looking into the depths of evil.
