IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival, organized since 2003, initially functioned as a forum for student films. Today, it is one of the largest festivals in Bulgaria and an important celebration of short film in Europe. The festival has the status of a qualifying event for the Goya, Student Oscar and the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Oscar awards.

The 22nd edition of the festival runs in Pernik from 27, June to 1, July.
